I conducted interviews and competitor analysis, which I then turned into empathy maps to better understand the target user and their needs. I discovered that many target users desire the ability to scan within the application while maintaining visibility of key data points and appropriate error messaging. However, current scanning processes are limited and prevent the user from quickly and efficiently scanning and logging packages as needed. This caused what should be simple processing experience to become challenging and cumbersome, causing additional stress factors to overall package reception processes.
